supporting recovery

The path to recovery can be long and winding. It often helps to have someone who has traveled the same road to point out the bumps, twists, and pitfalls along the way. Peer specialists provide this services for people recovering from mental illness or addiction.

A peer support specialist bring the empathy, compassion, and understanding that come from experience. And studies show that peer services support recovery and resiliency, making them an integral part of treatment.

At ÆÞÓÑapp, we use peer specialists in many programs, including emergency services, crisis stabilization, psychosocial rehabilitation, and substance use disorder services.
